Metabolomics & Lipidomics

The Multi-Omics Center operates two complementary Metabolomics facilities that collaborate to provide comprehensive metabolomics research services as part of the Technion's research infrastructure, in partnership with Ben-Gurion University. Each facility employs distinct methodologies and specialized capabilities, ensuring that projects are directed to the most appropriate platform based on specific research requirements. Both facilities work collaboratively within the Multi-Omics framework to ensure researchers receive optimal analytical solutions for their metabolomics research needs.

Technion - Perlmutter Metabolomics Center Our Technion Facility offers advanced metabolomics and lipidomics services, combining cutting-edge instrumentation with expert support tailored to diverse research needs. Our capabilities include untargeted metabolomics, lipidomics profiling, polar metabolite analysis, steroid panels, stable isotope tracing, and many other specialized assays.

Ben-Gurion University - Metabolomics Unit Equipped with advanced instrumentation and offers a variety of targeted metabolomics assays.

Bioinformatics

The bioinformatics team offers data analysis, consultation and training. We support researchers in designing their Multi-Omics experiments and perform data analysis. Our bioinformatics experts bring experience from both academia and industry, spanning genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and microbiome data. Through advanced algorithms and pipelines, we focus on extracting novel insights from complex information, with strong emphasis on analysis of non-model organisms.

The bioinformatics activity is distributed across Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where it is based in the Bioinformatics Core Facility , and the Technion, where it operates within the Multi-Omics Center.
